Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about FunkyPollen
What is FunkyPollen?+
FunkyPollen is an evidence-backed idea validator. Paste your startup idea and four specialist AI agents check it against real market signals — complaints, launches, and discussions scraped daily from Reddit, Hacker News, app-store reviews, GitHub, and 20+ more sources — then deliver a Go/No-Go verdict with cited evidence. We also publish a daily feed of cross-pollinated startup ideas you can browse for free.
How is this different from asking ChatGPT?+
A chatbot validates your idea against its training data and its urge to agree with you. FunkyPollen matches your idea against live signals scraped daily from 20+ sources, then four specialist AI agents argue over that evidence and cite it. Every claim in the full report links back to a real post by a real person.
What is the Strike Team?+
Four specialist AI agents plus a judge. The Archeologist researches prior attempts and why they failed. The Scrapper validates the pain point against real complaints. The Translator maps the idea across industries. The Architect drafts an MVP plan. Then the Deliberator weighs all of it — including where the agents disagree — into a final verdict with a confidence score.
What do I get for free?+
Every validation includes a free teaser: the verdict (Strong Go / Conditional Go / Hold / No Go), the consensus confidence score, and a sample of the matched evidence — no account needed. A free account also lets you browse the idea feed, save up to 50 ideas, and scan 8 sources.
What does the $19 full report include?+
All four specialist analyses in full, every evidence source with links, the killer question you must answer before building, and a prioritized 30-day action plan. It's a one-time payment for one idea, with a permanent shareable link — no account or subscription required.
When is Pro worth it?+
Pro ($15/mo) includes 30 full validation reports per month — so it pays for itself the moment you validate a second idea, versus $19 each one-off. It also adds all 24 scan sources, 500 saved ideas, exports, and idea comparison. There's a 7-day free trial and you can cancel anytime.
Is my idea kept private?+
Yes. Ideas you submit for validation are private by default and never appear in the public feed. Your report lives at an unguessable link that only you have — it only becomes public if you choose to share it.
How does the idea feed scoring work?+
Each opportunity in the public feed is graded from A to D based on a composite score factoring in market size potential, implementation difficulty, tech stack leverage, and an AI confidence rating. A-grade ideas have strong signals across all dimensions; D-grade ideas may still be promising but need more validation.
How often are new ideas generated?+
The pipeline runs a daily automated scan, pulling fresh content from all sources and synthesizing new cross-pollinated opportunities into the public feed.
